A personal web magazine?

Libation Stone

Libation Stone

That would be the best way to describe this website. And why not. So I’m not going to try to justify why it is here. It is just is.

It is just something that has popped into your consciousness at this moment.

If you want to know more about Dallas then your read a magazine like Dallas Weekly. If you want to know more about me, then this is what you got.

Why would you want to know more about me?

No idea. All I know if that my words are in your consciousness right now. It up to you to how you want to react to my words.

I have no idea of how you came to be experiencing these words, and I will probably never know. That is something that will always be an unknown.

Who am I?

Well that a complicated answer, and if you do not know who I am, then I guess that would be a question worth asking.

Sometimes I call myself a Pagan, and a Druid. I use these two words to express my experience during my spiritual pursuits. Nature has always been a source of deep spiritual knowledge for me. Even when nature is studied through the scientific lens in such fields as ecology and behavioral biology.

I like to really focus on the concepts of Immanent Theology and Universalism.

Immanent Theology is the viewpoint that our spiritual mission is during our life here on earth, instead of some far off ideal state of being or an rewarding afterlife.

Universalism is the notion that there is an underlying unity to all spiritual pursuits and faiths. You can call it the great mystery, the spirit, or god, but it a single source that illuminates all of our human quest for what we can generally define as spiritually. Forrest Church like to use the analogy of a single source of light that illuminates all the stained glass windows in the Cathedral of the World.

I am also an animist, so I accept the notion that their is spirit, or we can use consciousness, within everything  around us.

The process of acknowledging and working with this ever-present spirit and it’s many ways of presenting itself, I call magic. A change in perspective can open up a whole new reality.

I also use a process I call Mental Deconstruction to help remove unnecessary mental constructs and belief patterns. There’s a step by step process that I have been developing over the last few years. So, you’ll hear some of my phrases that I have developed to explain aspects about this process.

Such, as learning to determine what is a need, a want, and a desire. Or, with every step we take, and any breath we make, we have a choice, which direction do you want to go in? And, my new favorite, don’t confuse knowing the map, as the same as taking the journey.

So, you should expect more about this process.

I have training as an anthropologist. I am well trained in the scientific method and find a lot of value in the empirical method. Never had a problem with that. However, strict materialism and positivism are not necessary perspectives for the use of the empirical method.

The Blue Jay is one of my totem animals.

I also like cooking and food, so there will probably also be stuff about that.

Oh, as if you haven’t already guess by now, I have a thing for philosophy. Things about that also should be expecting within this site.

Art and photography. Those are other things that are important to me also.

Here my Face Book page. You can send a friend request. If you are not spam, then I’m likely to consider and accept the invitation. Sending a message along with the request greatly increases those odds.

Until recently, I had many different websites for various topics, but have decided to bring them all together under two roofs. One website is for my professional services, and this site for my personal opinions, ideas, creative efforts and other things that are not directly related to my business efforts.

If you decide to choose this mission and continue forward with this website, then you will discover that I have very eclectic taste and ideas. I think that variety is not only the spice of life, and it also offers the greatest chance of healthy growth.

May Peace be your Path, and Love your Light.
